Silvia Sanchez, Of Counsel, began her legal career in 1995, practicing corporate transactional law, and negotiating national and international licensing agreements in Barcelona, Spain as in-house counsel for Sanofi Group, a pharmaceutical, veterinary and cosmetics multinational, after receiving her law degree from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and her masters of law in Corporate and Commercial Law and Contracts from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (IDEC) in Barcelona.
Ms. Sanchez has practiced law in private practice in Paris and Barcelona, including six years at the prestigious pharmaceutical boutique law firm, Faus & Moliner, in Barcelona specializing in pharmaceutical transactions, commercial law and international pharmaceutical licensing. In 2004 Ms. Sanchez added U.S. patent litigation experience in patent litigation at the International Trade Commission and in U.S. District Court in Delaware.
Ms. Sanchez has been actively practicing in all aspects of intellectual property transactions and litigation. Ms. Sanchez is a European and American lawyer registered to practice in Spain, admitted in Tennessee and fluent in English, Spanish, Catalan and conversational French.
