Michael Harpen
Law Intern
Michael Harpen, law intern is a 2012 JD candidate at the Paul M. Herbert Law Center in Baton Rouge. Mr. Harpen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Alabama in 2005.

Mr. Harpen has previously worked for Cargill Inc. as a production management engineer at their site in Blair, Nebraska. There, he worked on several projects including ethanol production. He has also worked as a technical engineering assistant modeling military disaster scenarios at the Naval Research Laboratory in Mobile, Alabama.

Mr. Harpen is involved in the Intellectual Property Law and the Environmental Law Association. He will be working for the Office of Research and Economic Development at Louisiana State University during his second year in law school.
