Dennis P. Clarke, Of Counsel, received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from Washington College of Law, American University. Mr. Clarke is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to joining Stein McEwen, LLP, he was a principle in a number of law firms and was a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Clarke's practice focuses in intellectual property matters including patent, trademark and copyright law. He has extensive experience with patent issues relating to chemical, biochemical, biotech, pharmaceutical and medical inventions. Mr. Clarke has experience in patent validity and infringement areas, as well as in patent licensing. He has also conducted seminars in patent law and patent licensing at several universities.
